Each year the Aptucxet Garden Club of Bourne awards a scholarship to a student from Bourne who is planning to further their education for the study of horticulture, environmental sciences, botany, forestry, agronomy, landscape design or sciences related to horticulture.
The requirements for applicants are:
- High School, Colleges, or other institutions of higher learning scholastic standing.
- Financial need
- Resident of the town of Bourne for at least one year
The scholarship application can be obtained from a high school guidance counselor as well. The scholarship is available to all qualified Bourne students (high school, college, other institutions of higher learning) even if they are attending a school outside of Bourne.
